Introduction to JavaScript

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

JavaScript is a scripting language, a simple programming language with its syntax based on Java. It was developed to enhance the functionality of web pages. HyperText Markup Language (HTML) is the primary language for publishing on the World Wide Web. However, it is a markup language rather than a programming language, and offers limited functionality. This course provides a basic overview of JavaScript.

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

• Write scripts
• Run scripts within a web page and in a separate file
• Create scrolling messages
• Have your script act upon user response

PREREQUISITES:

HTML: Introduction or equivalent experience.
