Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Data warehousing is used to extract, transform and house data from transaction processing systems (e.g., pay at pump, the grocer's checkout, the pharmacy's prescription drug system) into an environment better suited for query, analysis, and reporting. This environment is called a data warehouse, and it is essential for effective business intelligence, which is the conversion of data into a strategic information asset. This course covers a wide array of topics dealing with most aspects of a business intelligence and data warehousing project.
